Explore Tokyo’s hidden secret places that inspired Murakami’s novels
Our beautiful bride Virginia is a huge fan of manga and Japanese novelist, Haruki Murakami. Her brand new husband, Andrea, is a big believer in the power of relaxation in the shade of a Malaysian tree. Where better for the two of them to jet-set to on their honeymoon? Japan, of course!
After a stopover in Hong Kong to sightsee and explore, we sent this blind couple on a whirlwind tour of some of Japan’s most amazing cities, including Tokyo, Tsumago, Takayama, Kyoto and Osaka. Here they followed the path of Murakami’s novels, where Virginia had the chance to watch her favorite stories come to life before her eyes.
We also sent Virginia and Andrea to a manga maid café for some delicious coffee and time to recharge their batteries, before carrying on their Japanese adventures.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Blind Honeymoon without a few more surprises. Before heading back to Rome, Virginia and Andrea spent a few blissful days relaxing in true paradise at the luxurious Japamala Resort on Tioman Island.
