What Blind Experiences is
Blind Experiences is a surprise travel company based in Rome, Italy, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We design journeys where the destination stays secret until you leave: you choose the dates and tell us how you like to travel; we choose everything else. Founded by Fabio Prestijacopo and Chiara Mascarucci, we have been designing surprise journeys since 2013 and have been incorporated since 2015. More than 100 journeys designed so far.
How it works

Tell us who you are. A short questionnaire, then a conversation with Chiara about how you like to travel, what moves you, and where you have already been.

We design the journey. Flights, places to stay and experiences, matched to you. You know your dates, and before departure we send you a note on how to pack.

The envelopes. You receive a set of sealed envelopes, usually between five and ten depending on the length of the journey. The first reveals your destination; the others open one at a time as the journey unfolds.

You travel. We are with you 24/7 on WhatsApp for the whole journey.

Frequently asked questions
Will we know where we are going?
No. First you receive a note on how to pack. The first envelope reveals the destination, and every envelope carries the date and time it should be opened, so the surprise lasts the whole journey.
What if we would not have chosen that destination?
We design around your answers and any places you ask us to avoid. The process has been refined over more than ten years, and our clients' reviews speak for themselves.
Can we exclude places or tell you where we have been?
Yes. Our questionnaire asks for every country you have already visited, any you would rather avoid, and the activities you would rather skip. We also ask about food, travel sickness and vaccinations, so nothing comes as an unwelcome surprise.
Are flights included?
Yes, economy flights are included.
How far ahead should we plan?
Ideally 2 months in advance.
